They approve because they for the most part differentiate the man from his policies. Trump-ism states all non-whites are inferior and the cause of our perceived decline. As President Trumps successor was from an inferior race his accomplishments by definition are also inferior. So regardless of how we got there (Russian interference and FBI meddling) the republican base can ignore the man and approve of the job he is doing dismantling anything his predecessor achieved.
