I love how anything, and everything talks in this strip.

I also love the simple “hello.” Very ominous like, “We meet again.”

    Brilliant!

Before long, the trees and wreaths will start going up the day after Labor Day. We may end up like that Sliders episode, Season’s Greedings . Here’s one possible remedy:

    Amendment XXVIII.

    Section 1.

The public promotion of any national holiday by any person, corporation or organization for commercial purposes more than thirty calendar days before the holiday is hereby prohibited.

    Section 2.

Restrictions on the commercial promotion of state and local holidays shall be under the authority of the appropriate state or local government.

    Section 3

The Congress and the several States shall have concurrent power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

    Section 4.

This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of the several States, as provided in the Constitution, within seven years from the date of the submission hereof to the States by the Congress.
