    Just say your sorry, Pete, and it’s all your fault.

    Okaaaay….

    I think Tony is responding to some remarks here implying that his questions might be inane….

    So…. LOL…..

    His question for today is….

    Discuss the belief that great literature of the twentieth century lacks protagonists who qualify as heroes. (Among the works you discuss, include Virginia Woolf, Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Chinua Achebe.)

    Right, Tony….

    But you left out Tony Rubino.

    I definitely think “Daddy’s Home” lacks a truly heroic protagonist…

    Though Pete is a pretty nice guy, if a tad immature.

    Not being very literate, I googled that question.

    Not surprisingly I got this reply…

    “are you allowed to ask questions on this site?”

    @Tony I don’t see a word limit, so here’s my contribution: “It’s complicated.”

    The hero of this story is anyone who would rescue a cat from a person who would name him Mr. Socks.

    Gary Cooper made a living out of playing the hero. But I don’t think Hemmingway or Fitzgerald had anything to do with the book the movies were based on.

    Peter doesn’t remember what they were arguing about. He just knows he lost.

    First panel, Peter’s in-his-head-reply: “Thank you very much for your kind offer – but you snore.
