G’day Jason, Dry, JFri, Ottod, Meggsiefan, Frank and all Meggsie’s mates.

Canehard’s glasses magnifying his face is a fascinating bit of realism. Happens where anyone in Ginger Meggs wears glasses.

Graffiti reads ‘The penguin is mightier than the swordfish’.

    Back later!

Sorry folks, got the graffiti wrong. Must admit I took a punt on the last few letters, enlarging the strip and then using a magnifying glass didn’t work as well as I hoped.

    Afternoon!

Aha! The reveal is about to be revealed.

Thanks for the Wikipedia link, Jason. Oddly, it never occurred to me to look there. I skimmed it quickly and understood many of the words. I’ll go back later and try for sentences and paragraphs. “Googly!” “Leg Breaker!”

Ottod: Try ‘silly mid-on’ in these days when safety at work and play is the big consideration and ‘the gully’ when the ground is flat, not to mention that after every announcement that something is ‘over’ they decide to do it again instead of going home.
