Probably talking about the Rally for Sanity. It overtaxed the Metro. It was ridiculous. We missed the first hour of the rally because the Metro was so overburdened.
They were broken! Yeah, I think we only went on ONE escalator that was actually working. It was my first time using the Metro so I just assumed it was like that for efficiency’s sake.
Actually Jade, they do turn off the escalators during big events like the rally but, that doesn’t change the fact that the escalators are constantly broken.

He’s talking about Metro escalators in general, they are constantly broken. The elevators too and they are raising the fares.

The Metro was funded and built by federal dollars, churchill. In part as fallout shelters for the government. Ground was first broken in 1969.
