A few years ago, a friend of mine lost his wallet wherein was his month’s rent payment (about $750 at that time.) A day or two later, the wallet appeared in his mailbox and the amount of cash was only down $2 (bus fare.) The finder remained anonymous.

I see old-fashioned screw-in computer cords are on the list. This is vindicating my theory that somewhere there’s a parallel universe where socks turn up and the inhabitants say “Where do these things keep coming from and where have all my dust bunnies gone?”
