A woman in our congregation was in the hospital, riddled with cancer, and being kept on life support until her family could come from overseas. I suggested we call the church and get the rector over here STAT, and was told – in all seriousness – that I was “pushing her into her grave”. Yeesh!
My brother’s physician refers to them as “end of life wishes.” By all means write them down; they should include all your Internet passwords so the survivor can unsubscribe from the deceased’s Web pages.

I think cremation should be a free service or just a nominal fee since death is inevitable for everyone. You can’t stave it off.

A very heavy subject that they talked about this week. But it is so true.
