I recently joined one of those family tree sites, within three hours I found a distant cousin and we’ve been e-mailing back and forth ever since. We keep exchanging photos and info, I’m hoping to get my nine year old great-nephew interested — good luck with that.
I have a huge tablecloth that my great-grandmother crocheted before I was born. I am a great-grandmother myself and hope to pass the heirloom on to my granddaughter when I die.

Kids can’t comprehend ‘great-great-grandmother’, but all understand ‘mee-maw’s-mee-maw’ (or similar).
