    Well, in truth, you’ll find a TON of worms in the cool, shady, damp areas of the soil, not the hot, baking open areas like he’s digging in… :-)

    1- While I’m panhandling for loose change I might as well dig a hole… 2- Doh de doh… 3- Not getting much loose change out here. I gotta an idea! 4- At least I’m getting more foot traffic here.

    That’s why you catch bait at night. Two people make it easier. One to carry a container and the flashlight to see the worms on the surface, one to catch the worms. May require some training of the catcher so they don’t break the worms trying to pull them out of the ground. (The catcher will eventually learn to feel the worm “relax” and it’ll slide right out of its hole unbroken.)
