This comic is dated 1935. I thought we were in the 1950s, have they started over? As an aside, ever notice how they used to use curtains between rooms instead of using interior doors? I’m old enough to remember when they still had that in some older houses (in the ‘50s, not the ’30s!). Wonder when that stopped being a style? It actually seems fairly practical – you don’t have to worry about shutting the cat in the parlor!
HAHAH! If I were Aunt Fritzi, even I’d have to laugh at that. I hope she didn’t go giving a spanking for sassiness. I don’t see it as sassy. Just clever and funny.
