My antivirus removed a Trojan, but didn’t say which one, Now my svchost dot exe system (There are 7 svchosts) starts out at 1% then gets up to 100% and I have tried about everything except the serious system restore where I can return it back to the way it was from the factory like I did a year ago.

Microsoft Malicious remover didn’t find anything, and Microsoft Defender apparently doesn’t get along with the anti-virus.

Hmmm….Iggy’s liberal’s are left of Harper, that’s good enough!

Well DrCanuck. I wish I could tell you what I did to fix it but it is apparently dumb luck.

I have been online for 3 hours whereas earlier 15 minitues or half hour would be max.

I ran a free registry fix program, the computer w/XP froze up while running, and when I re—-did whatever and deleted said registry fix it WORKS! Don’t question success. PS I upped all of my anti- statuses and the anti-phishing is like syrup running uphill in January.

TCL, the “lacing up their shoes” was intended to suggest that Newfies can’t count past 10 on their fingers, but with their shoes off they can count to 20. (There’s also a SECONDARY joke there about Canada being so sparsely populated that they can tot up their ballots without having to deal with triple digits.)

I could have made it clearer, but it would have been too verbose. I acknowledge it could have been polished up…

I have what I think is an interesting story in dealing with a French Canadian.

I bought a reel to reel tape deck on ebay, from a gentleman in Ottawa, for whom English was a second language, I talked to him on the phone.

I sent my international money order, and he sent the 50 pound package and I waited and waited for it to arrive.

I was working six days a week and so I had the tape deck shipped to where I worked, supposedly.

The UPS driver got S. 22nd St. confused with N. 19th St., same address number, and someone signed for it, and it sat for 10 days, 1/4 mile away while we sorted it out. Gave me confidence in my fellow man, even when a small mistake is made. I never thought he would be the type to take my money and not deliver.

Still have the tape deck aTeac A-4300SX, and an identical one, state of the art in 1977. I had a cheaper model back then.

Of course it doesn’t take Canada long to count or even recount, your population is less than that of California.
