There is something seriously wrong with that cow.

Mad cow disease.

Those are not happy cows.

Cows are not generally slaughtered, but bulls almost always are.

Those cows are obviously not being raised by Carnation. (now we’ll see who’s old enough to know what that meant) Also I think that might be a face on the side of that far background cow on the left side of the comic.
