Tona asked, about 10 hours ago

    Wash or dry?

Huh?!? Dry-cleaning dishes? Haven’t seen that since Star Trek – Mudd’s Women.

Even if you hand wash dishes with water…

I mean, I’ve never had any dry cleaned…

who actually dries them any more, with a dishtowel, either?

When I was a kid, the dishes had to be dried, and the rack put away, before homework,

which had to be done next, before TV or games.

Heaven forbid anyone should see a dish-rack in the kitchen!

But by the time I visited, as an adult, even my mother,

who would rather scrub a burnt pot for 15 minutes than leave it soaking for an hour in her sink,

was leaving the dishes to air dry in the rack…

which is all I’ve ever done.

If you can’t find something to do, I’ll find something for you to do.

Wash dishes, air dry in rack, put away. Repeat.

Air dry. Washing is bad enough, so air dry it is!!!

    @ Tony:

Like Knightman, I air dry. Unless I need something right away…and I’d appreciate it if, right away, you’d answer today’s…

    Second “Daddy’s Home” Question:

What chore is a “treat” for you? (I’m late with this because my Internet was down this morning.)

Moxie will do the prewash when it’s something she likes. Otherwise, wipe out with napkin and rinse/light wash. When I have a few I thoroughly wash, rinse, dry and put away. Since it’s only me to use the dishes, I don’t necessarily thoroughly wash every night.
