Emmie’s inability to wake up in the morning is alarming.

Does a robot need an alarm clock? Seems like a “sleep” interval would work just fine… or some kind of internal alarm.

All androids are robots. Not all robots are androids. She is an android. And it seems it includes mimicking sleep for power down. I would never make androids that look too much like humans. Uncanny valley is the big one. She looks like a real child. And if there is some slip up no matter how small we can see it. And that makes us very nervous. Too close but not quite and uncanny valley makes being around them hard. Non-human humanoids are okay like say C3P-O in Star Wars works. Now if you can do that for cyborgs they would have to be made to the finest quality. Costs that only a rich person or corporation or a govt can afford.

There is a show called “HUMAN” about an android revolt. They are still a persecuted minority. They had been given the kind of mentality we take for granted. They developed a sense of self. Also they have a need to protect themselves. Once that happens all bets are off. Then comes the Terminators after that.
