People tend to forget that humans have been genetically modifying plants for hundreds and hundreds of years – we’re just doing it more scientifically, now, that’s all. Science is only ‘scary’ when you’re ignorant and refuse to learn any better – the old “villagers with pitchforks and torches advancing on the castle” gambit!
