We lived next door to my grandparents, who had a farm. Both my parents worked. I can still hear my grandmother coming through the house saying “Are you kids still asleep!? I have already picked two bushels of beans that need to be stringed and broken so I can can them.” So I already knew what I’d be doing that day. At least it was better than corn—she’d pick a mountain of corn that had to be shucked and silked. Gosh, I miss those days.

My dad used to say “only boring people get bored”.
In other words Go Do Something lol!
If you said that you were bored in my house you got handed the vacuum! Lol we never said we were bored!
