That’s when you do the “everyone has a talent but not in the same thing” speech. My son hates sports but that’s okay because he’s getting really good at art and loves music. I play on his strengths and would rather he spend hours working on honing his art skills rather than me forcing him into some sports league to use those free hours playing something he hates and is probably not very good at.

Empathy! I know how that feels too, I was picked last 2 years in a row for softball. But in those days the team captains were always boys.

Coaches always insisted on sports, later I found out the state only required exercise!
