A womans birthday arrived and she told her husband she wanted something in the driveway that was red and would go from 0 to 200 in 3 seconds. He says ok. Next day she gets up and sees a box in the driveway wrapped up and had a ribbon on it. She runs out, grabs the box, runs back in and tears it open, thinking car keys. Inside was a bathroom scales.

Most scales have a “zero” adjustment. Just calibrate it as soon as you get home from the doctors office.
