I thought empathy school was where you cheat people out of their life savings.

Or maybe that’s Business Ethics school.

If you look at the blue laws, you can see that some laws are fickle, transitory, things that were imposed on the populace by the then current government, but are no longer appropriate and not necessarily the will of the people. Empathy is an inherent trait that normal sane humans have which allows us to share and understand the feelings of other humans and it is a something we carry with us not something we have to look up in a law book.

@CLOWNHIDDEN – of COURSE! That’s the answer! We can just pass laws against hurricanes. After all, the law’s the law. Have ‘em arrested and put in jail, where they can’t do any harm. North Carolina passed a law against sealevel rising.

Cynical Republicans like to keep Americans weak, confused and scared, it translates into more votes for Republicans. They have no intention of helping anyone except for themselves.

There are ways to teach people more emotional intelligence, but first they have to care.

For the record, CEOs have four times the rate of psychopathy as the normal population. That’s 4% rather than 1%, but even so. Not being a clinician, I am not on a first-name basis with the DSM, but some things don’t require a Freud to figure out…
