Just because you’re lost doesn’t mean you can’t find your way…. when I lived on Okinawa I frequently got lost (I had some difficulties reading the road signs, go figure). Fortunately, I usually knew whether I was north or south of my intended destination and I could tell east from west as well. Since Okinawa is a longish, relatively skinny, island all I had to do was head down hill until I hit water, turn north or south as needed, then drive until I started to recognize stuff. Mind you, that doesn’t work as well when you aren’t on an island, but a good map helps where ever you are… 8^)
