Love the sound of bag pipes. Had a good set of pipes, but practice made the dog howl,& attracted pack rats. Eventually managed, by Amazing Grace, to imitate a moose in distress during rutting season. Nearest neighbors, acres away, in our AZ cactus wilderness were not impressed. Sold the pipes & bought another banjo. Our cats loved when I practiced my banjo[s], & would curl up in the plush line case.
In one of his stories, Robert Heinlein described someone learning to play the pipes as looking and sounding as if he were holding a cat under his arm and biting its tail.

See? You can herd cats if you’re the pied bagpiper.

I’d like to think that cats would like the pipes. Not convinced yet, though.
