What was it Mr. Spock said? Something about infinite variety through finite combinations of finite elements or some such drivel? But it does seem to apply to the endless variations on finite themes of “Garfield”. I know there are Garfield-haters out there, but I have infinite admiration for Jim Davis and crew.
