Don’t be so dumb. No one cheered Griffin for her crass stupidity, and she lost her job. Problem is, you all are busy justifying Trump’s crassness 24/7, and it isn’t doing the nation any good at all, besides making us weaker on the international scene (“How Trump’s foreign policy threatens to make America weak again” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/jul/02/donald-trump-foreign-policy-diplomacy). It is destructive of the institutions that hold the nation together, which in my book counts as unpatriotic.
And I could point out that the “attack” mode was initiated by Trump from the beginning of his campaign—-and before, if you count his attacks about President Obama’s birth certificate.
JACK, AGAIN you have to be told that Obama, both Bushes, Clinton and Reagan all had the Caesar treatment as well. Presidents are not supposed to act like children. Take a look at the birther, secret Muslim, and all of the other junk thrown at Obama. He handled it quite graciously. Trump says he works for his supporters only, insults everyone else and then tries to claim victim status.
Look at it this way: Is it better to be honest & open? Yes! So note that Trump doesn’t have a hidden enemies list; it’s right out in the open. And the way they’ve pulled the wool over the eyes of so many for decades, they deserve EVERY SINGLE ATTACK THEY GET FROM HIM.

Yep, Trump surely has raised the tone of conversation in this nation, hasn’t he? Wonderful example to the whole world…
