Maybe the tax payers can shell out more money for bodyguards, while they they return to a gun – free zone to make laws to have easier access to more powerful assault weapons.
Don’t worry, the Congress has an excellent health care plan.
We should really blame our Congress people. They take the cash. I do think there is a right to bear arms. I think most gun owners are rational and do not commit these crimes. It is the gang members and the mentally and emotionally disturbed and ignorant owners that cause this. We don’t need to ban guns but we do need to make criminal use of guns by gang members a serious violation that is easier to prove. We need to make background checks apply to all gun sales, period. One thing I would really like to see is a training requirement for gun owners to make sure they know how to safely handle a firearm, how to keep in at home, and the legal implications of having one. I have seen too many moron gun owners who could very well shoot themselves in the foot because they thought it was cool to buy a gun and others who wanted one for self defense but didn’t know which way to point the gun. I think that is just common sense.
70% of NRA members want reasonable gun laws. The insane guy running that outfit does not. Why would you pay membership to a group that does not do what their majority want them to do?
And what kind of a law would cover illegal guns? You know, the ones that are used in holdups, etc. If someone wants to get their hands on a gun they’ll always be able to and no amount of legislation can prevent it.
Three or four more of these incidents and maybe the republitards will sit up and take notice and finally decide that something should be done about our gun problem besides their fellating the NRA.

Congress needs to be limited to no more protection than the least of their constituents.
