This is the one thing Comey did that I did not understand. He felt it was important to point out they had received another 40 thousand emails they had not read after the first batch contained nothing actionable. At the same time he felt it was not necessary to alert the public about the Russian hacking and possible Trump campaign involvement. That really seems political to me. He also bet on the wrong horse.
It functionally doesn’t make any difference whether it was called an investigation or a matter. However, Donnie telling the FBI director to stop looking into the Russian collusion IS an obstruction of justice. Go ahead and call the Trump investigation a “matter”, it won’t make any difference to the outcome.
If you think what Loretta Lynch did was bad, just wait until you find out what Trump did, as the president no less. Imagine, these low-educated deplorables think we should stop the investigation of the president, to look into the candidate that Russia colluded with trump to beat. On what basis? Some alt-right lies? I guess it could work, they do have control of the government. Fortunately, the Republicans are not at all organized enough to stop the real investigation to start a fake one. Or to push through their destructive legislation.
If people think Lynch tried to quash an investigation, then why is it okay with cons that the President obstructed justice by firing Comey and voila, it opened up more investigations? Trump didn’t get elected because he was the more popular candidate, you know.
