Best Idea I have heard is lying on your deathbed being tended by a beautiful nurse. As you start to fade, the bedside phone rings, and as the Nurse holds the phone to your ear, the last thing you hear is your bank complaining that your checking account is overdrawn by $5.00 !
There are an awful lot of people who, knowing they are at the end of their life, borrow a lot of money and leave it for their heirs to sort it out. Not a very nice thing to do in my opinion. At least the heirs cannot be forced to pay the debt once the estate assets are gone.
