I think Ramirez has been watching Reefer Madness one too many times. Hopefully NH will be surrounded by weed states next year.

Pretty much the truth. Think legalizing pot is just another liberal ploy to keep the masses under control & subjugated.

Big Pharma mostly responsible for this mess, including manufacturing FAR MORE than legally prescribed, and gee, what feeds the black market? BTW, marijuana shouldn’t be a Schedule I, it’s not accictive physically, does great work on many conditions, and it can’t kill you with an OD. It will be fully legal with the Feds as soon as big pharma gets the patent rights on all forms.

Here we are, with the President firing the FBI director because he was getting too close to the truth, and Ramirez has to go after marijuana. Is this the best you’ve got?

…wow…I am impressed. It’s the first time a right-whiner of alt-facts has admitted that marijuana is NOT a “Gateway drug”, but he gets the wrong one. Look up the connection between taking Ritalin, et al and later drug abuse.

@DRTOUTMA….1.While the larger issue is dependency, marijuana is addictive:https://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/research-reports/marijuana/marijuana-addictiveThere are links on the left side of the page that point to many of the negative aspects of marijuana use. Aspects that will have a negative impact not only on the individuals using, but also on the society in which they interact. Users are typically less motivated and less productive, and have reduced attention and memory retention. Marijuana significantly impairs judgment, motor coordination, and reaction time, and studies have found a direct relationship between blood THC concentration and impaired driving ability. It also contains levels of volatile chemicals and tar that are similar to tobacco smoke, raising concerns about risk for cancer and lung disease.

2.While I understand one of liberals’ favorite targets is “Big Pharma” (of which I am not a fan either) your precious government seems to make out pretty well by legalizing marijuana:https://taxfoundation.org/marijuana-tax-legalization-federal-revenue/

I wish people were as concerned about living a sober and moral lifestyle as they are about finding new ways to get wasted legally. Of course your munificent government is more than happy to play pimp for these social peccadillos.

I don’t know any weed heads that have been smoking for the last 40+ years that are well off and not on government subsidies. Most of the ones I know are also drunks.

Dope heads have no one to blame but liberal Democrat drug policies. If they kill themselves and win drug fueled Darwin awards , so what.

    Stupid is as stupid does.

The real “gateway” drugs are alcohol and nicotine. Nicotine being far more physically addictive in most studies done than heroin. I do have problems with “recreational” marijuana, same as for alcohol basically, but yes, psychological addiction is possible with any “mind altering” drug, but marijuana used medically is simply safer, and in studies where the government hasn’t blocked research, like in Israel (which is where many of our prescription drugs are manufactured btw) have shown great progress in treating a wide variety of conditions; without all the nasty side effects of manufactured formulations. Of 35 advertised drugs I’ve listed from TV ads, only FOUR of those drugs, do NOT have potentially lethal side effects. AND many of those drugs that can kill you are for irritating, but rather benign conditions, like psoriasis! We need science and logic, not more authoritarian law enforcement that IGNORES the science, and facts relative to social implications of drug use as well as economic.

Maybe if Michael would toke up and relax a little, he’d be able to spell opioids correctly.
