Thomas Jefferson once pointed out that merchants have no nations, because where they make their money is far more important to them then where their feet happen to be…….
In the 1950’s when gas was 23 cents a gallon, a friend’s dad who owned a small oil company, wells, refinery, and stations, told me “An oil company is just a license to print money.” Mobil Oil in 1923 created the “Saudi” in Saudi Arabia by putting the house of Saud in control. Exxon/Mobil is till mandating what NATION’S do, not just make money, or print it. This is Tillerson our Secretary of State who’s going to put OUR country first? Pretty sure he’s still got some stock options even though he retired.

Of course it’s a trick question, he doesn’t recognize any nation as his own.

Our patriotic multinational corporations are very consistent — especially the patriotic multinational oil companies.
They ALWAYS put the interests of ‘their shareholders’ (i.e. mgmt) first.
What’s second? There is no second.
