Macron won decisively against le pen. Le pen and Putin tried to pull one over on the french election in the way they did here, but the french were way too smart for them.
France saw the mess Putin made of the US and Britain. I hope the rest of the world has finally wised up to Russia, see how they want to disrupt and affect elections. Look for who they back and go against it.
Is there a Godwin-type law for McCarthyism? Because using the “no longer a patriot” argument sounds suspiciously like something heard during the 1950’s Red Scare. As to France, after their first round of voting, which eliminated not only candidates from parties which had previously won the Palais de l’Élysée, and a Bernie Sanders-style candidate in Jean-Luc Mélenchon, their second-round political choices were basically syphilis (oligarchy/corporatism) vs. plague (nationalism/fascism) just as last year’s choices in the US, where neither candidate was palatable. They chose syphilis, the US chose plague. If not “treated”, both diseases have a terminal outcome, just at a different speed.
So right – the patriots of the united states are all getting together to help putin. poor snowflake must be so hurt that someone would askeer you with that rightwing boogey man. Only the alt-right things McCarthyism is a leftwing stance. Is it great yet?
