Trump said that global warming is a Chinese plot to keep down American businesses and since he knows more about China, science and business than anyone else in the universe including the alien intelligences in our midst. Science gives us scientific data, politicians give us word salad. Who we listen to is optional but doesn’t change the science.

It’s not nice to try to fool Mother Nature, or ignore her warnings. Okay the last part is plain stupid.
