Empty nest and loving it. We were lucky. Our kids moved out on their own after college and never “bounced” back home. Since we now have GREAT grandchildren, I suppose it is safe to assume they never will!
Word got back to me that my kid brother is hoping his son sticks around for another year or two before the lad finally flies the coop. What a sentimentalist…
I wasn’t looking forward to the kids leaving. But my daughter left first. She was 21. And my son left at 23 when he got married. Left me all by myself and I’ve been alone for 25 years. It’s OK I guess but it still seems funny to be alone.

Not anymore. You will have them in your house until the day you die. they will never leave.

I have partial empty nest and I love it. They are home from college almost every weekend.
