I’ve seen things hanging in galleries that weren’t an improvement on that, and they wanted actual money for them. Modern art is an “emperor’s new clothes” scam. I figure that if I could do it myself, it ain’t art.
There is an artist studio across the street from me. They don’t sell their paintings from there – I think it’s just where they do their painting. Now and then, they exhibit paintings in their window. I am not impressed with their work. I could do paintings as good or better myself. I heard a dad once make the same comment to his kid as they passed by that place once.But different strokes for different folks, I guess. I’ve seen stuff sell for a lot of money at art fairs which I would not even take if they were offered to me for free.
