His determined “ignorance” on all matters is scary, especially for those of us who’ve been in this cartoon when the chickenhawks crow. He wouldn’t of course be the first, but on cowardice, he’s already proven he’s the worst.

So trump doesn’t see the point in having the same info repeated to him on a daily basis; that suggests a briefing on new developments is in order, rather than a rehash of known factors.

All over the U.S., there are about a million writers with the bright idea of collecting the wise(guy) sayings of Donald Trump into a book that they just KNOW will be a best seller. If so, here’s a suggestion: Subtitle it “Volume 1.” That, of course, assumes that we don’t eventually have mass book burnings of things unfavorable to the Trump regime.

Trump doesn’t want the job of being President, just the prestige and power. That’s why he’s got Pence taking the intelligence briefings. If he could have had one of his kids taking them instead, he probably would have.

“You know, I’m, like, a smart person. I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years. Could be eight years — but eight years. I don’t need that,” Trump said. “But I do say, ‘If something should change, let us know.’” -—————————————————————————————Sounds reasonable to me.

Putting our troops in harm’s way because the president is too lazy or too incompetent to study the daily briefings is a crime against the country and our military. The last Republican president didn’t pay attention to his daily briefings. Too much trouble for him because he was taking another month’s vacation. The result was 9-11. That one could have been prevented with a simple phone call to step up airport security. Did Bush do that? No, because he, like Trump was so smart he didn’t need any real information, just his gut. My gut tells me you Trumpers really blew this one by voting for this orange buffoon. We will all pay the price. Fortunately our current president is smart enough to know that checking his daily briefings is a good idea. He’s been spending a lot of time cleaning up, after Bush’s middle east debacle. He’s done a lot with the use of drones and intelligence and his own intelligence. That is something that we will miss with the next president. I’m sure that his good friend Putin will give him a helping hand. Putin’s helping hand will NOT be good for America though, only Trump.

Obama has been skipping these same briefings for years.

Didn’t seem to bother the left until the DNC told the lefty news nerds to report that Trump skipped one.

The term ,TWO FACED, comes to mind. But then that is the way of the left.Do something then say the right is doing it and the easily duped fall for it every time, because they are too lazy to look anything up for themselves.Except on Huffpo or MSNBC.Maybe Al Jazeera.

It does not take much “smart” to realize ignorance is bliss. Knowing means having to make decisions.. The longer the Trump can put that off and play host to “wanabees” the more fun the job is.

The president is the CinC, not a general. His generals need to have daily briefings on the strategic and tactical situations in play. The job of the CinC is to decide that words aren’t working and it’s time to deploy the dogs of war. And America has the best war-dogs in the world. Be very, very thankful for that as you sit safely behind your keyboard and criticize others for doing what they’ve been trained to do.

An important point on Obama and intelligence briefings, and general intelligence; President Obama has consistently referred to ISIL, or Da’esh, not the mistaken “ISIS” the press and those ignorant of the real situation stick to, demonstrating Obama knows the real scene. This includes the importance of the “L” as in Levant, that refers to the fact the “Islamic State” folks want to take back the lands now occuppied by Israel as well. A very important point in figuring out “who’s on first” in continuing wars in the Middle East.
