Those windows are very hard to smash through. They never show it in the movies.

I’ve read you’re supposed to be able to open the doors after the vehicle is completely full of water, as the water pressure on each side of the door becomes equal. (It’s the difference in pressure that holds the doors shut.) I wouldn’t care to test it, though.
