This is a truly open question: Does the Red Cross do good? I ask because they have an excellent public image, yet older people I talk to say they despise the organization and hate to see it go into a community. What might be the reasons for that? Is the Red Cross an altruistic charity or a business? My opinion is based on acquaintance anecdotes, not objective studies. My father, who served in Africa and Italy, had a very negative view of the Red Cross.
Although Donald Trump has described himself as an “ardent philanthropist,” he has only donated $3.7 million to his own foundation. In comparison, a wrestling company has given Trump’s foundation $5 million. He ranks among the least charitable billionaires in the world.
They plundered the donations to give to the poor? The Republicans have always hated the Robin Hood types. They would rather steal from the poor to give to themselves. The only thing the Clintons plundered are Donald’s chances at the white house.
“The chief complaint that critics make about the Clinton Foundation is that the former and perhaps future presidents engaged in a “pay-to-play” scheme, whereby donors—many of them foreign governments—would contribute money to the charity in exchange for access to Bill or Hillary Clinton, or worse, beneficial treatment from the State Department.”
“There isn’t anything new here,” Mook said, noting that the former secretary of state didn’t attend the summit“This was an illegally stolen email put out there by the Russians because they want the election to be about this,” Mook said. He said Clinton met “the highest ethical standards” as secretary of state and as a New York senator.“There’s never been any evidence of any pay-to-play at all,” Mook said.http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/23/politics/robby-mook-clinton-ethics/lol “the atlantic” how fair and balanced can one lie get?
Steve, do you even glance at information on these things? Look up the Foundation and see how the money flows. You’re entitled to your own opinions, but you’re not entitled to your own facts.
