Ahh, easier to set some nails in the treads of the tires so when the entitled, inconsiderate, selfish driver moves, the tires get flat. (Plus, much harder to figure out who did it) ;)
The problem with either one of those being, if you get caught someone is very likely to call the police, whereas if you block them in the cops won’t be involved.
@phil m That type of person won’t work, they’ll just call a mechanic. It also takes longer and looks more suspicious to let the air out by the valve.
@Atypicalreader1. private property is civil matter like angelfiredragon said2. They need to record the incident and be able to trace the person3. Most people are not observant to notice a person bending over (maybe to tie a shoe)4. Most people don’t wait long enough to see the consequence5. Most people won’t get involved anyways6. Maybe expensive, but quickly teaches a lesson (plus, they would probably spend the money to have someone fill their tire anyways.)Plus, blocking a person in means you do (eventually) have to return to your vehicle to move it, thus getting caught.
@angelfiredragon You sound like a person who does this and tries to justify it. Unfortunately for you, all cars are made to a maximum width to navigate minimum road widths (aka a small rural bridge or tunnel.) Parking stalls were standard 9’ which gave plenty of room, but now are a min 10’. 12’ is handicap stalls (which I hope you don’t park in unless you have a permit.) It just shows your lack of control of a motor vehicle if you can’t BACK into one of those stalls, let alone pull into it.
