We had a Ford station wagon just like that, except it was palomino tan.

We had a light blue Ford Country Sedan station wagon. How I loved to sit in the back seat!

Falcon station wagon and it was best to sit in the back section, that way Dad couldn’t reach you. Of course if he had to stop for a little disciplinary action then watch out.

Still have my first car – 1957 Studebaker Commander. Blue and white, also. The comic strip car looks like a typical ’60’s wagon with the available wood tone trim.

We had a Ford station wagon when I was Reds in 61 or 62. We made a trip to the Smoky Mt NP in it. we slept in the car. My bed was a wood deck placed across the windows at the back, with a wonderful view of the world. Also comforting the night the bear rolled our metal Coleman ice chest out of the camp site and up the hill, finally gave up and let it roll back down the hill.

Another Ford Falcon station wagon rider here. A 1962 Robins Egg blue, “three on the tree” that stayed in the family long enough for me to learn how to drive a clutch some 8 years later. And yes – riding in the back was the best!

I believe my dad’s car was a 1962 Pontiac Bonneville Safari station wagon. I may be wrong, it was many years ago. But the photos I’ve seen seem to match that model.

Our first “family hauler” was a ’61 Chevy Brookwood wagon. The next was a ’62 Plymouth Fury wagon. It was quite a bit smaller than the Chevy, but it did have push buttons. It was the last wagon in the family and was replaced by the ’63 Rambler Classic sedan when Dad decided to really “economize”…

You guys all had some REALLY cool cars!!! Great memories, expecially Tex’s camping story. IN the very dim reaches of my memory I remember a neighbor coming over in a genuine woody, not an antique at the time, I think to ride with my father to work. I remember it made quite an impression.

Learned to drive in my Dad’s ‘64 Ford Fairlane wagon. Great car, plenty of pep from it’s V8 and not as big as the Country Squires!

“Pop” bought a 1963 Fairlane hardtop on 12/10/62 when i was in the 2nd grade and my older brother was a senior in HS. We still have that car. (I got it restored and my older brother has it now.) He’s 71 and I am 61. This one looks like a ’63 Fairlane wagon to me.
