I’ve never understood the popularity of hot tubs. Or waterbeds for that matter. :)
Most basements end up like a shallow-water cement ponds after normal settling occurs or sump pumps stop doing their unnatural duty.
A moat seems more logical than a sump pump hole.
Maybe they should wait till Clovis gets back to see what he has to say.
