There’s a tree right there

Seeing that this is set in the ’60s and nowadays Red is in his 60s he probably thinks of “that” every time before he leaves the house.

The tree has no shrubs around it so no.

Uh-oh, a switch up, it is the human who needs to go, and no alleys in that suburban environment. He would have to find a clump of trees so that he won’t be seen.
