If indeed the people who’ve been numbed into unconsciousness by Fox “news” succeed in “yanking the line of credit” I just hope that Starguy and all the other right wing nut jobs are the first to feel the pain when the government begins to collapse and deregulation proceeds to dismantle the rest of what is left of this once great nation; realistically though, it will be the poor and working poor that get crushed first.

Take a “primitive” tribal country of very hostile tribesmen, all carrying guns, kill their kids, take away their livelyhood and you have, well Bush/Rumsfeld/Cheney. Now try to work WITH those folks to attempt to make up for a couple thousand years of invasions and viable mistrust, and well, it is hard. it is also very important to make the attempt, at least to undo some of the damage we’ve done. But America never says, “Sorry I killed your kids, please kiss my ring.” No, wait, that was Bush putting Karzai in charge.
