Chazz doesn’t have cats. When Poncho’s about two years old, Chazz marries Carmen who has (I think) eight cats.

Ah, Chaz. I’ve been waiting for this moment. I almost feel sorry for you. If this wouldn’t be so funny, I probably would.

I cant wait untill Mitzi is introduced! I’d love to see how their relationship was before they began going out. I wonder if you’d consider them mates….

Now, to address the questions and conserns of those who ask about Carmen’s eight cats. Just read the comic from the begining. It will not only help you understand what is and will go on, but also many of the running gags.

The archives here only go back to 2003, so there are 3+ years you’ll have to find elsewhere. But the collection “All Dogs Naturally Know How to Swim” has the first strips, which deal with Chazz and Poncho moving in with Carmen and the cats after their marriage.

Boomer was around from the beginning, and Mitzi too (for some reason Poncho “moved away” from Mitzi, but not from Boomer). Of course Poncho is going to “discover” cats at SOME point in Year One, but they won’t be Carmen’s…
