and “perfection” (as per Stipple) is achieved in the toon. That is America before the screen and the cat is a brilliant touch. My cat ran from me laughing so hard at the comments and the toon. Lordy, if we didn’t still have our good, old American, it would be hard to go through the new days.
Her accent was to thick to understand her, but her nude pictures on the net are nice. Were the pictures taken by Trump on one of his planes? Good thing the republicons have a war on porno now.
So the story is that Melania quoted the lines to the speech writer, who inserted them in the speech innocently, and Melania then did not recognize the lines that she had quoted to the speech writer? Sorry, that puts it all back on Melania. I was willing to give her a pass, but this version puts the responsibility right back on her.
before we cast more blame, how about listing all the plagariasm in Obama’s, Bidens, and others. He who is without guilt can cast the first stone. You would be surprised at how many of my doctoral students copy and paste. Then they get angry with me for catching them. it seems okay to copy, but it also depends who is doing it and the title he or she may hold.
The speech was an amateur blunder. The attempts at coverup and projection and screaming that Hillary had ratted her out (another Republican lie) are what show something of the real nature of the Trump operation. First reaction: Flail! Strike out! Try and blame somebody! Make up ridiculous stuff!~.After all, it did take attention away from the horrific racism in preceding speeches. Mission Accomplished.
So far I have seen five cartoons (four of them on the same day) that make fun of the plagiarism issue, but all of the others used Lincoln’s “Four score and seven years ago…”. In comparison to that , there is a certain brilliance in quoting Porky Pig.See also: Jeff Stahler, Jim Morin, Stuart Carlson, and Jeff Danziger.

It just goes to show that they can’t organize a convention, and yet a lot of posters here think they can run a government.

Except that nobody can seem to find the scapegoat, except for an elusive message sent by somebody supposedly named McIver.

A perfect summary, Mr. Luckovich. Best I’ve seen on this topic! Thanks for a great laugh! My cat laughed, too.
