    Everyone forgets Reagan increased taxes.

    The economy needs more private/public stimulation to jump-start jobs and manufacturing. A majority of the stimulus is still left. Yet, the news media echo-chamber is too loud for anyone to notice.

    Everyone should also take a breadth; then insist financial institutions start lending to small business.

    The tax cuts were vastly skewed towards the wealthy. Really, totally, vastly skewed. I remember the reported comment from George W. after the second round was proposed: “Weren’t we going to cut taxes for the middle class this time?” But he wasn’t in charge, so the rich got more.

    I’d GLADLY lose my $23 bucks a year to help pay for America. I like America, and unlike Tigger apparently, I believe in it. Let the whole batch expire. It was a totally rotten idea to start with.

    This is my favorite graphical representation of who would benefit from the Republican proposal for extending all of Bush’s tax cuts, as opposed to Obama’s proposal to extend them just for the lower earners:
