This has no possible good outcome if Sanders is truly out of the picture and the DNC made sure he never had a chance. How did we end up with 2 of the most hated and unsuitable for the {resent than these 2??What kind of moronic state of our government diid this??But of course these 2 represent the greed of the top 500 or so families. Those who have money makes the rules. But Seriously??we need to dig a grave for this election and start all over with a different cast.
If Hilary is the Democratic candidate I’ll vote for her. However, I would prefer that Bernie be the candidate.♦@Newenglandah,“you know who” stole the election in the 1930’sjust like another painter stole it in 2000.They both did paintings that weren’t bad but not great either.
The next 4 years will certainly test the limits and constraints of our Constitution and the checks and balances that the founders created to maintain governmental stability.
However, I fear that there are a lot of very powerful people that want to see everything go to hell so this whole pesky Constitutional Republic annoyance can be replaced by a power structure of their making.
My curiousity would be at what point or how soon would Americans actually rise up to stop Trump. You haven’t had a revolution since….ages! (1776?) That 2nd amendment thingy might jussssst come in handy ;-)
“The political scientist in me wants to see a Donald Trump presidency, because it would be the greatest natural experiment in American politics about whether norms are as important as laws in constraining authoritarian impulses. The American in me is frightened about what the answer would be.”
“President Trump will have the means, motivation and lots of opportunities to launch nuclear weapons at any time, in any situation he alone sees as an emergency.”
Not quite so. The president can order such an attack, but the Secretary of Defense also has to concur (and supply his own codes).

I’m half curious to see what would happen if Trump did win. The other half dreads it.

Now that is an analogy I can understand.
