Two democrats stand between a burned-down Democratic National Convention with a "Feel The Bern" sign nearby, and the Republican National Convention, renamed "Trump The Convention." Democrat: Maybe we got the better deal after all.
If you Amerikastanis actually want to be respected by anyone, you need to get off your high horse, and part of that necessitates destroying your so-called “two party” (one Wall Street owned party with two faces) system. If you want to be called democratic you need to give people a better choice than between Tweedledum and Tweedledee, especially when they’re both psychopathic mass murderers.
Republicans don’t lose, Democrats give the elections to them. They go to 2 extremes, they either don’t vote or they go bonkers on each other. Bernie is giving Trump a lot of good sound bites for the general election.
Bernie’s populism encourages this kind of violence. Sane people will avoid the candidates espousing anger and revolution (Trump and Sanders) and vote for Hillary.
Interesting how all the fights and cursing and etc. at Trump rallies are now forgotten because of the so far one and only problem at one Democratic caucus.
Conservative pundit Michael Gershon:In the category of credit where credit is due, Donald Trump has been exactly right in one important respect. He attacked the Republican establishment as low-energy, cowering weaklings. Now Republican leaders are lining up to surrender to him — like low-energy, cowering weaklings. The capitulation has justified the accusation.
It would be impolite to name names. So I should not mention that former Texas governor Rick Perry, who now angles for Trump’s vice presidential nod, once said: “He offers a barking carnival act that can be best described as Trumpism: a toxic mix of demagoguery, mean-spiritedness and nonsense that will lead the Republican Party to perdition if pursued. Let no one be mistaken — Donald Trump’s candidacy is a cancer on conservatism, and it must be clearly diagnosed, excised and discarded.” I should resist the temptation to recall how Rep. Peter King (N.Y.), who now (reluctantly) backs Trump, once asserted he is “not fit to be president, morally or intellectually.”
The Democratic party is self destructing by being dishonest every bit as much as the Republicans have. The Republicans by ignoring it’s core voters for radical right wing and the 1%, The Democrats by rigging their party against Sanders and having a witch as the front runner. I wish the FBI would go ahead with her indictment so Sanders can run against Trump. Our votes don’t count and haven’t at least since citizens United.
We have gone from pretending like the Dems are as bad as the Reps to now they are worse. Maybe next week we’ll find out how Trump was a better first lady than Clinton. Or how the Republicans are working for the American people. Maybe you can tell us how the Republicans are pulling the Latino vote. Or is that because the Democrats have completely destroyed themselves?
Yet it’s people who say they support Bernie throwing chairs and defacing walls, and generally holding their breath in protest..I support the economic issues Sen. Sanders was running on at the start of the campaign, even if I was supporting Hillary for the nomination – hers was clearly the only well-rounded candidacy. Bernie was just as clearly running to advance issues, not to win a nomination (see: his campaign punting the Southern states on March 1st) (also see: a complete lack of interest by Sen. Sanders in developing a comprehensive foreign policy outlook in advance of a presidential run). It’s a pity that a campaign that started by advancing the political dialogue on issues of economic inequality has in the end degenerated into resentment and conspiracy theories about the nomination process and the chairwoman of the DNC..Whatever power Sen. Sanders was gaining to effect change within the Democratic Party is rapidly dissipating under an ugly spectacle that neither the Sanders campaign or the candidate himself appear willing to rein in.
what do you expect when the powers that be anoint the queen before even the first plebiscite? too young to remember 1968? in retrospect tricky dick wasn’t that bad. welcome “the donald”. snerk.
NPR took a look at the footage, and found NO chairs were thrown. And yes, I KNOW the “lib’rul mass media” is FOR Republicans.I find it hilarious that Congress wants to interview/investigate Zuckerberg for “slanting” the trends, but totally ignores Fox Non-news for setting the standard for sleazy, skewed “reporting”.
