For a long time, I thought all chicken eggs would hatch. Not true. Anyone who raises chickens knows this.

The general public knows jack about animal life anymore. Like putting a baby bison in a car and “saving” it from its natural environment.

The bylaws in my town state that, for backyard chicken owners like me, you can only have hens and no roosters. My four beauties each average an egg per day. I get asked at least once a week how hens lay the eggs with no rooster. I smile every time.
