Those who do not learn history are condemned to repeat it, to paraphrase someone or other. Don’t mix your metaphors, fruit lovers!

I remember being so relieved when he left office and thinking that things could only get better. Dopey me.

My nickname for him was “Ronnie Popular”. He was so nice I could almost forgive him his political views (e.g. are you frustrated by cramped seats on airliners? Thank Ronnie Popular’s de-regulation.) But even with that, I’d vote for him in a millisecond over the current resident at 1600 Penn Ave.

It is funny how for most of this strip, the name Trump can be used instead of Reagan. It seems that the party that is out of power have very much the same thing to say about the sitting president. The only difference is that this group is doing all they can to discredit Trump instead of tending to the county’s business.

Remember the good ol’ days when Nixon was a liar and a crook, Reagan was simple and evil and Bush Jr was apparently a moron… and we all thought it couldn’t get any worse… I sure do hate being proven wrong but Cadet Bonespurs sure proved it could get worse… much worse. Ain’t it just amazing how a strip this old could be so relevant today… 8^/
