And perhaps equally important, what on Earth is a boll weevil.

Why is this comic so hard to read—and it doesn’t resize like the others

The army might have done Milo some good. Sigh. Too late now….

Howdy, all—I’m brand new to this site, joined in hope of finding a particular Bloom strip from probably the early 80s. It depicts Opus playing his tuba and the punchline was “the Theme from Flashdance.” My kid just decided to play the tuba and I want to surprise her with this image, but can’t find it using any internet searches. Is there a way to find specific strips on this service when you don’t know the date of original publication?

Panel 2 is like an eye test – Does the Major have a freakishly skinny neck or can you see Milo in this panel?

I aso find these reproductions difficult-to-impossible to read. Don’t you guys proof-read what you produce ?I have nearly all of your books, but I enjoy the daily dose available on the Internet, where I work daily. Please do better, or tell your readers why you can’t. You have done much better in the past. Thanks.

Ignorance about military service is somewhat common these days since only about 5% of the US population have any connection to the Armed Forces. The military is much smaller now compared to the mid nineties. Depending on the career field, the enlistment process could take up to a year. Doing well on the SVAB test requires good reading skills and solid knowledge of algebra. As such, the physical, mental, and ethical standards needed to join the military are high. Even to have a career as an NCO eventually requires a college degree with continuing professional development.

It’s not against any law to think unfavorably about the military. In fact, everyone in the military takes an oath to defend the Constitution which includes freedom of speech.

One more note, in the US the DOD is one of the largest employers of highly skilled civilian/non-military personnel, which also includes foreign nationals at overseas facilities.

Anybody else having difficulty in reading the words? You’d think they could make it a little more legible.
