Trump declares women should be be punished for having abortions. Trump has flip-flopped back and forth on punishing women – but does not want abortion laws changed. He, of course, has a “great answer” to the question of abortion. When abortions were illegal, women were not prosecuted, under current abortion bans, women who have abortions are not punished. Apparently, Trump wants to keep abortion legal, not have any legal action against doctors, but punish women. Most likely, as illustrated, with state-sponsored torture, waterboarding and electrocution under a hood.
Back Phil, I am not sure where your information about Mormons came from. As a memeber of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I can assure you that your assesment of women in the Church is not correct.
The question needs to be asked of all those that want to make abortion illegal. If they want to prosecute the doctors only and say women would not be punished, that says that women are just helpless victims rather than someone trying to make her own medical decisions.
‘Pro-choice’ is a term invented by a Madison Avenue advertising firm in 1973 and sold to a feminist group for $250,000. It was designed to soften the abortion message, replacing the less cuddly ‘abortion on demand’.
The conclusion comes after a three-year research period involving nearly 670 women of all social backgrounds.Ninety-five percent of women who have had abortions do not regret the decision to terminate their pregnancies, according to a study published last week in the multidisciplinary academic journal PLOS ONE..The study was carried out by researchers from the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health at UC San Francisco’s School of Medicine, and from the university’s division of biostatistics..Its conclusions come after a three-year research period in which nearly 670 women were regularly surveyed on the subject of their abortions. The sample group was diverse with regard to standard social metrics (race, education, and employment) and on the matter of what the study calls pregnancy and abortion circumstances. Financial considerations were given as the reasons for an abortion by 40 percent of women; 36 percent had decided it was “not the right time;” 26 percent of women found the decision very or somewhat easy; 53 percent found it very or somewhat difficult..The authors of the study concluded that the “overwhelming majority” of the women participating in the study felt that abortion had been the right decision “both in the short-term and over three years.”.http://time.com/3956781/women-abortion-regret-reproductive-health/

I don’t know why women (gays, minorities, the poor, etc) vote for the GOP.
