I don’t mind the height, but the weight? Whoa.

MY DOG IS MY CO PILOT  about 8 years ago

By the time he was 15 my brother was 168 pounds and 5 foot 9 inches. My mother by comparison at the time was 112 pounds and was 5 foot even. One day he said something really cheeky to mum and as he walked away she whipped him smartly with a rolled up towel. When he turned around to her she said " I don’t care how big you get I am your mother and you will respect me. Cheek me like that again and I will give a clip around the ear even if I have to stand on a chair to do it!" He thought twice about being cheeky after that.

I remember being so pleased to reaching 6’ and was an inch over my Dad’s 5’11". His remark to me was priceless.“You may be taller and heavier than me, but just remember, I didn’t live to be this old, without learning a trick or two…”

I would never think of challenging him. I had too much respect for him, besides, I’d seen him in action a couple of times.

I remember the shock on my father’s face when he realized he was chastising me while looking up.
